Swaziland has been officially renamed eSwatini on 2018-04-19 by order of the monarch leader King Mswati III: eSwatini stands for "the land of the Swazi people" in Swazi language. IB-Lenhardt AG will internally retain Swaziland until widespread adoption.
SPTC (Swaziland Post and Telecommunications Corporation) was officially taken over by SCCom (Swazilands Communication Commission), now responsible for regulatory functions. For type approval, a product sample and a copy of the existing ICASA type approval certificate are mandatory.
The Type M plug has three round pins in a triangular pattern and looks similar to the Indian Type D plug, but its pins are much larger. Type M plugs are sometimes used for bigger appliances in countries that make use of Type D plugs, as well as in Israel (Type H). Therefore, sockets in these countries sometimes work with Type M plugs.
