Type approvals in the Dominican Republic are regulated by INDOTEL, the Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones. Radio approvals are based on American (FCC) or European (EU) standards for smooth market access. IB-Lenhardt AG works directly with INDOTEL in Santo Domingo, whereby certificates of conformity can be obtained in the shortest possible time. The homologation process in the Dominican Republic does not require local laboratory testing or contact with local representatives. The certificates have an unlimited validity period, which minimizes the effort required for the manufacturer to obtain a certificate of conformity.
