Type approvals in Guatemala are regimented by SIT, Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones. Approvals of Radio equipment are based on American (FCC) standards or European (EU) standards for smooth market access. The homologation process in Guatemala does not require local laboratory testing or contact with local representatives.
