ARTEC Reinforces Physical Sample Requirements for Type Approval
A commercial production unit must now be submitted for ARTEC visual inspection as part of the type-approval application process.
While Decree No. 2024-1650 remains unchanged, the Autorité de Régulation des Technologies (ARTEC) has reinforced the enforcement of physical sample requirements for type-approval applications.
The submission of one standard commercial production unit, as sold, is now mandatory for all type-approval applications.
The sample is primarily intended for visual inspection and verification. However, ARTEC reserves the right to perform functional or RF testing if deemed necessary.
Applicants should therefore prepare the required physical sample for submission together with the technical construction file to avoid potential certification delays.
