Changes to Approval Requirements for WWAN Products
The Ministry of Communications (MoC) has informed on 2012-09-29, that WWAN (Wireless Wide Area Network) products do no longer have to undergo local testing by Israeli Network Providers in order to gain Type Approval, which will have a positive impact on the cost and leadtime on the same.
From now, there are the following requirements for approvals:
- EMC/Safety certificate from Standards Institute of Israel (SII)
- Radio Approval certificate from MoC
- Encryption approval certificate from Ministry of Defense (MoD)
