Moldova Aligns with EU Conformity Assessment Rules
On August 28, 2025, amendments to Law 235/2011 on accreditation and conformity assessment were published in the Official Journal of Moldova. The changes will enter into force on February 28, 2026.
The revised Article 31 introduces the recognition of conformity assessments carried out by EU-notified bodies. Products lawfully placed on the EU market with CE marking and the required EU Declaration of Conformity will no longer require additional checks in Moldova.
This applies to radio equipment as well as other electrical and electronic devices that fully comply with EU directives.
