RURA: Updated Regulations for Electronic Communications Devices

In the Official Gazette Special of February 16, 2022, RURA (Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority) has recently announced a suspension of regulation No. 011/R/STDICT/RURA/2020 governing importation, supply and type approval for electronic communications equipment.

The key change in the new provisional law is the introduction of processing fees. Please be advsied that due to the ongoing implementation of the platform, processing might take some time.

It is also to be mentioned that RURA introduces two options for type approval applications: either a simplified procedure or a standard one.
