On September 9, 2021, Nigeria's Federal Government approved nationwide 5G deployment. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) received instructions to develop a comprehensive implementation roadmap for 5G network deployment across the country.
A key objective in the deployment strategy is to achieve coverage in major urban areas by 2025.
