The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), based in Tehran, regulates type approval in the Islamic Republic of Iran and has successfully developed and implemented its conformity assessment system based on European (EU) standards. We maintain close business relationships with local partners who accompany the required on-site conformity testing in order to significantly shorten the processing time of homologation projects in Iran and to provide you with the best service possible for your successful market access in Iran. In Iran, conformity testing is carried out on efficient use of radio spectrum as well as on electromagnetic compatibility. After successful testing, the mandatory documents are submitted to the authority, whereupon CRA registers your product in the national database of approved products. The registration is valid for 3 years. We will be more than happy to assist you in recertifying your device in a timely manner to meet the requirements before the validity expires. Since 77 GHz radars can not be tested in the country currently, we are also happy to assist you in applying for the issuance of an Approval Letter by the CRA. Yes, full testing required for new approvals and renewal according to the SRD regulations 2021.

I want to approve a 76 - 77 GHz radar in Iran, what should I do?

Even if 77 GHz cannot be tested, we can apply for a authority letter confirming non-objection to import the radar device.
