Type approval procedures in Namibia are regulated by the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN). The conformity requirements are similar to those of the European Union (Declaration of conformity according to EU directive 2014/53/EU). We work directly with the authority in Windhoek, so certificates or exemption letters can be acquired in a short processing time. The homologation process in Namibia does not require local laboratory testing or contact with local representatives. Certificates have a limited validity period of 3 years and approved products do not require additional markings.
