Upcoming Merger of the MIC with the MoST

The Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) will merge with the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST). This merger is part of a broader reorganization of government agencies, as outlined in Resolution No. 141/KH-BCĐTKNQ18.

As a result of these organizational changes, some delays in the type approval process should be expected.

The official date for the merger is not yet confirmed.

Excerpt from the Resolution: "4) Merge the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The proposed name of the new ministry will be the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Digital Transformation, or the Ministry of Science, Technology, Digital Transformation, and Communications, overseeing the sectors currently managed by the MIC and MoST."
