“New Family” Applications Needed for Multiple Product Names
Starting June 30, 2025, Canada's regulator ISED will no longer accept multiple product names in a single certification entry.
As of June 30, 2025, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) requires that certification applications include only one Product Marketing Name (PMN) per Product Version (PV).
If a product with the same Hardware Version Identification Number (HVIN) is marketed under multiple names, a separate “New Family” application must be submitted for each PMN.
