ANATEL Enforces Certificate Renewal Conditions
The National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) now enforces the existing legislation (Resolution No. 715, of October 23, 2019, Article 53).
Art. 53.: "After 180 (one hundred and eighty) days from the suspension of the Certificate of Conformity without the correction of the non-conformities that gave rise to it or without a justification duly accepted by the Designated Certification Body being presented, the Certificate of Conformity must be cancelled."
Effective immediately, ANATEL will no longer process renewal requests for certificates that have been expired for more than six months.
Under the new guidelines, if a certificate renewal deadline is missed, applicants will need to apply for a new certification.
This process will also result in a new ANATEL ID for the certificate.
