Ecuador: Arcotel Issued New Frequency Allocation Plan

Following a public consultation conducted in December 2025, the Telecommunications Regulation and Control Agency of Ecuador (ARCOTEL) issued Resolution No. 03-02SO-ARCOTEL-2026, approving the Integral Update of the National Frequency Plan (PNF) on February 13, 2026.

The resolution was based on Technical Report No. IT-CRDE-2026-005, dated February 9, 2026, and Legal Report No. ARCOTEL-CJDA-2026-0001, dated January 9, 2026. Both reports were approved by the ARCOTEL Executive Directorate.

Resolution No. 03-02SO-ARCOTEL-2026 repeals previous resolutions No. 04-02-ARCOTEL-2021 of December 14, 2021, and No. 04-03-ARCOTEL-2023 of August 8, 2023, along with any other resolutions that conflict with this update.

The updated National Frequency Plan came into force upon publication in the Official Register on March 27, 2026.
