NTC Philippines 77–81 GHz Frequency Band Amendment
Following our earlier announcement regarding the public consultation on the 77–81 GHz frequency band, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) of the Philippines has officially issued Memorandum Circular No. 004-06-2026 on June 29, 2026.
This circular amends Section 2 of Memorandum Circular No. 03-05-2007, allocating the 77–81 GHz band with a maximum power of 50 mW EIRP for Detecting Movement and Alert equipment. This allocation supports the deployment of advanced radar and sensing systems for automotive and industrial applications.
The circular will take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in a newspaper of general circulation and its filing with the Office of the National Administrative Register (ONAR) of the University of the Philippines Law Center.
