Yemen: Regional Authority in Aden Established
Radio equipment approval in Yemen is now handled by separate authorities, with differing enforcement across regions.
Due to Yemen's political situation, radio product type approval is now managed by two independent authorities: the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology (MTIT) in Sana'a and the MTIT in Aden.
While certification is currently mandatory in Sana'a, enforcement in Aden is expected soon following the issuance of certificates since early 2026.
Please note that mandatory compliance is not yet obligatory at this moment, and the same regulation applies to Sana'a as to the Aden-controlled regions.
