TELCOR Publishes List of Equipment Exempt from Homologation

As reported in our news update of December 3, 2025, Nicaragua’s telecommunications regulator, the Telecommunications and Postal Services Regulatory Institute (TELCOR), updated its equipment classification framework.

TELCOR has now published a dedicated list of equipment categories exempt from the homologation regime. The new list provides an explicit reference for identifying equipment that does not require homologation.

This replaces the previous approach under which exemption was determined based on whether equipment appeared on lists of products subject to homologation or prohibited from use.
