TRC Reduces Type Approval Certificate Validity

Changes to Type Approval Certificates by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC):
Validity Period: New type approval certificates are now valid for one year, reduced from the previous three-year term.
Renewals: Renewals will also be valid for one year and can be requested up to three months before the expiration date.
Labeling Requirements:
Labels may be applied either physically or electronically.
Essential information must include the manufacturer's name, brand, model, and marketing name (IMEI for cellular products).
Exempted Products: The list of exempted products has been refined to include specific categories, such as printers, photocopiers, and corded phones without radio capabilities.
Reporting Changes: All changes to product details must be reported to the TRC.
