CRA Updates National Frequency Allocation Plan
Following the outcomes of WRC 23 and the CRA public consultation with multiple stakeholders, the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) issued the updated Qatar National Frequency Allocation Plan (NFAP) on 08 February 2026, superseding the 2022 edition. The updated NFAP provides the general framework for radio spectrum regulation and promotes efficient spectrum use.
Changes include
Introduction of the 5925–6425 MHz band for Wireless Access Systems / Radio Local Area Networks (WAS/RLAN)
Updates to primary and secondary service allocations
Expansion of Appendix 2 (list of frequency bands for SRD applications)
