India: Public consultation on 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz requirements
MTCTE is seeking comments on Essential Requirements for equipment operating in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands.
On 7. April 2026, the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), Government of India, has issued a new notification regarding Essential Requirements (ER) for equipment operating in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands under the Mandatory Testing & Certification of Telecom Equipment (MTCTE) programme.
The TEC invites stakeholder comments on the draft Essential Requirements. Industry participants, including manufacturers, importers, and testing laboratories, are encouraged to submit their feedback via email to adetr.tec@gov.in, with copies to ddgsat.tec@gov.in and dirr2.tec@gov.in before 2026-06-06.
