MSIT Issues Notice 2026-10 on February 10, 2026
South Korea increases PSD limits in the 6 GHz band to support advanced indoor wireless technologies.
The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) issued Notice No. 2026-10 on February 10, 2026, amending technical standards for radio equipment with immediate effect.
Key changes
Increased Power Spectral Density (PSD) limits for the 5925–6425 MHz sub-band
Introduction of a linearly decreasing PSD profile across the operating band
Enhanced limits specifically for indoor use in the 6 GHz band
Scope
Applies to wireless devices operating within buildings
Relevant to equipment using the 6 GHz frequency band
Applicable in the Republic of Korea
Compliance
Applies only to devices not yet tested or granted type approval
Previously approved devices remain subject to regulations valid at the time of certification
