ANATEL Act 7280 replaces Act 2220 on June, 1st

Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) announced in November 2020 that Act 7280 replaces Act 2220 on June, 1st. 2021
The main changes are as follows:
  1. An ISO 9001 certificate in English language will be required for all factory units
  2. For products like mobile phone chargers, power banks or xDSL modems the renewal cycle will be extended to 2 years
  3. ANATEL will accept test report from foreign test laboratories (ILAC accredited) for devices as OLT, data network equipment installed in corporative/industrial environment. The test report must not be older than 2 years. For more details, please refer to the the Act for products with notes 1,3,7 or 8
  4. Products not requiring any renewal, such as OLT, Data Network Equipment installed in corporative or industrial environment, Multiplexers, Coaxial cables, some types of optical cables now need to be renewed every 3 years
  5. Devices like Broadcasting equipment, central splitters and others now can be approved with a Declaration of Conformity and test report (please refer to note 8)
