In-Country Branch Office Requirement
India tightens its regulations on foreign applicants, requiring:
- a liaison office or branch office located within the country and meeting all liabilities and obligations according to the BIS Act of 1986 and the Rules and Regulation for the purpose of registration,
- a member from this office to be nominated to act as the Authorized Indian Representative (AIR).
