MACRA develops new Type Approval regulations

The Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority MACRA is developing new Type Approval regulations.

According to the draft regulations all electronic communication products require type approval. Products which already have a recognized approval from ITU Region 1. e.g. have a CE DoC, can apply for a simplified scheme.

We recommend for interested parties to check the draft regulations and especially the Schedule 2, which lists the recognized ETSI Standards.
