MACRA hints at Labeling Introduction
MACRA has announced plans to implement the new type approval regulations. The introduction of labeling has also been hinted at.
The Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) has issued a public statement outlining its plans to implement the Communications (Electronic Equipment) (Type Approval) Regulations, 2023.
The introduction of the labeling was indicated with this statement:
"Type approved equipment must be clearly marked as such and indicate compliance with MACRA regulations."
A date for implementation is not yet specified.
