Public Consultation No. 012-26
The National Public Services Authority (ASEP) opened Public Consultation No. 012-26 on September 28, 2026, regarding proposed modifications to the National Frequency Allocation Plan (PNAF). The consultation focuses on two key regulatory updates:
1. International Harmonization (Article 14.8)
ASEP proposes updating the national frequency table to align with the ITU Radiocommunication Regulations (RR-2024) and decisions adopted at WRC-23. The proposed update is intended to:
Maintain alignment with international ITU requirements and spectrum harmonization
Support efficient spectrum management and administration
Facilitate frequency assignments for telecommunications services
2. Expansion of Unlicensed Spectrum (6 GHz Band)
ASEP proposes allocating the 5.925–6.425 GHz band (500 MHz) for unlicensed use, both indoors and outdoors, to support increasing demand for high-capacity Wi-Fi services. The proposal is intended to:
Reduce network congestion and improve connection quality
Support the adoption of advanced Wi-Fi technologies
Improve connectivity across residential, commercial, and educational sectors
