ISED: Public Consultations on RF Exposure and 960 MHz Band

On August 16, 2022, the Canadian Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development launched two public consultations aiming at approving a resolution to the following topics:

  1. SRSP-300-GEN (issue 1): technical requirements for coherent use of the frequency ranges above 960 MHz by fixed point-to-point radio systems licenced in fulfilment with the current Radio Standards Procedure RSP-113. The requrements can be found here. Comments may be submitted until October 24, 2022.

  2. Revision of Guidelines on for the Preparation of Radio Frequency (RF) Exposure Compliance Reports for Radiocommunication and Broadcasting Antenna Systems (GL-08) and setting minimum criteria which are to be included in RF exposure compliance reports issued by proponents and operators of all radiocommunication and broadcasting antenna installations. More detailed information is available. Deadline for public comments: October 11, 2022.
