Type approval for WLAN 5 GHz not allowed

URSEC no longer approves 5.470-5.725 GHz WLAN band. Government-exclusive use. Restrictions for new applications.
From November 2014 on, the Uruguayan Authority URSEC (Unidad Reguladoria de Servicios de Comunicaciones) no longer releases type approval certificates for 5.470 - 5.725 GHz WLAN band as this band has been assigned for government use only. Devices operating in this band and with an existing URSEC Type Approval certificate may continue to operate. For new applications, the master device must have this specific band restricted: As for client devices, only passive scanning or an Ad hoc mode is allowed.
