Vietnam's MIC Announces Regulatory Updates in Circular 10/2023/TT-BTTTT

Vietnam's Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) has issued Circular 10/2023/TT-BTTTT, introducing important changes to technical regulations.

Key highlights of this circular include:

  • Grace Period for Extreme Testing: Circular 10/2023/TT-BTTTT provides a grace period until December 31, 2023, for testing under extreme conditions for various product categories, including QCVN 117:2020/BTTTT, QCVN 54:2020/BTTTT, and others.

  • 5G NR Terminal Devices: The validity of QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT and QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT standards for 5G NR terminal devices has been extended until December 31, 2023.

  • Extended Grace Period: Circular 10/2023/TT-BTTTT extends the grace period until June 30, 2024, for testing in extreme conditions for products like NFC/RFID 13.56 MHz, Wireless Charger, and Vehicle Radar 76-77 GHz.

  • Type Approval Certificates: Certificates based solely on Circular 04/2023/TT-BTTTT (including extreme condition testing) will be valid for 3 years. Certificates based on both Circular 04/2023/TT-BTTTT and Circular 10/2023/TT-BTTTT (with normal condition testing) will remain valid until December 31, 2023.
