Rohde & Schwarz TS8997

Insight Lab

Our RF Laboratory Test Equipment

In our test lab we use the TS8997 from Rohde & Schwarz, a recognized regulatory test system for wireless devices. With the highest level of automation it measures technologies that are mainly used in broadband wireless devices in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band with a maximum efficiency up to devices in the 7.5 GHz ISM band. The mentioned technologies are for example WLAN, Bluetooth, Wireless Video Broadcast, radio remote controls and IoT devices. They need to be subjected to compliance tests according to ETSI EN 300328 for the 2.4 GHz band and ETSI EN 301893 for the 5 GHz band. The wireless measurement from Rohde & Schwarz is for legally required testing according to ETSI and FCC devices for ISM bands.

Worldwide Certification

IBL-Lab GmbH: Fully Accredited Laboratory

The proof of conformity of our test laboratory of IBL-Lab GmbH, with the accreditation DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018, transparently confirms that your radio devices tested by us meet the necessary quality standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

All you need to know about radio testing

Why is RF Testing and Certification important?

Radio tests for wireless technologies such as RFID, short range devices, Wi-FI, ZigBee, Bluetooth, LTE or NFC, are important in order to be able to launch them on global markets. Professional testing and the resulting certification ensure compliance with legal and normative regulations, such as the Radio Directive 2014/53/EU. Compliance with limit values and susceptibility to interference are tested, as well as whether a wireless product transmits on the correct frequencies in the RF environment. The Wireless Radio Testing and Certification secure approval for the respective product for a specific country.

Which products require radio testing?

While EMC testing is required for all electronic devices and systems, radio testing is needed for products that use wireless technologies such as RFID, WLAN, Bluetooth, radar or ultra-wideband.

What does ETSI stand for?

ETSI stands for European Telecommunication Standards Institute. It is one of the three major standards organizations in Europe, and is responsible for European standardization in the field of telecommunication.
