Conformity assessment in Grenada is based on the European (EU) and American (FCC) Conformity Standards. The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) is the responsible authority which manages the process of examination of documentation and issuance of conformity assessment documents which are the two mandatory parts of the local conformity assessment procedure. Grenada is also a signatory to the Treaty establishing the Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL). Homologation procedures in Grenada necessitate neither local laboratory testing nor local representative contact. Certificates have an unlimited validity period that minimizes efforts of the involved parties in getting a certificate of conformity in Grenada.
