Type approval procedures in Togo are regulated by the Autorité de régulation des communications électroniques et des postes (ARCEP). The conformity requirements are basically identical to those of the European Union according to the Declaration of Conformity under EU Directive 2014/53/EU. We are supported by a local partner who works directly with the authority in Lomé, allowing certificates to be obtained within a short processing time. The homologation process in Togo does not require local laboratory testing or contact with local representatives. However, product samples are requested for inspection by the authority. The certificates have a limited validity period, currently five years and approved products are subject to mandatory labeling.
