Type Approval for Cayman Islands
In the Cayman Islands, the Utility Regulation and Competition Office (OfReg), based in Georgetown, regulates equipment type approval and its regulatory requirements. The OfReg relies on European (EU) or U.S. (FCC) standards for compliance assessment, so there is no need for additional on-site regulatory testing. Since no local representative is required, we cooperate directly with the authority, enabling us to realize homologation projects for you within the shortest possible time. After successful review of the application documents, the authority issues a Grant of Equipment Authorization in the Cayman Islands, which is valid for 10 years. If required, we can apply for recertification of your product after the 10 years have passed. No country specific conformity label is required before launching your product on the market.
