Type Approval for Seychelles

Type Approvals in the Republic of Seychelles are regulated by ICT, the Department of Information Communications Technology situated in the capital Victoria. The authority is responsible for the whole homologation procedure and issues certificates itself. The conformity assessment procedure in Seychelles refers both to the European (EU) and American (FCC) conformity standards in order to secure smooth market access for any radio product showing compliance with international norms. We apply for homologation certificates directly to the authority which eliminates the necessity for a local representative and drastically reduces the time period needed for market access in Seychelles. We assist our clients professionally with evaluation and collection of mandatory documents which are to be submitted to the authority for further conformity assessment procedure. The procedure does not require product testing or inspection. After successful examination of the application, a certificate of conformity, which has unlimited validity, is issued by the ICT. According to the local conformity regulations, product marking, or labeling is not required. However, a European/American conformity mark is to be found on the product.
