SDPPI Indonesia Implementing SAR Head Rules

SDPPI introduces the limitation of the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) for cell phones and tablets in the regulation "Kepmen Kominfo Nomor 177 Tahun 2024".
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Kemkominfo), specifically the Directorate General of Postal and Information Technology Resources and Equipment (SDPPI), has introduced a new regulation called Kepmen Kominfo Number 177 of 2024. This regulation focuses on limiting the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) for cell phones and tablet computers.
To ensure safety and mitigate potential health risks associated with the use of telecommunication devices, the Ministry will require SAR testing for cell phones and tablets as part of the certification process for telecommunication devices.
