The system of conformity assessment for radio products in the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam accepts the submission of test reports according to European standards to enable a smooth market access. It is also possible to submit certificates from Singapore or Malaysia to support the conformity assessment by the AITI authority. We work directly with the local importers of the radio products in order to submit the applications to the telecommunications authority AITI (Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry). Obtaining the certificates is quick, usually within two weeks, with appropriate preparation. The homologation process in Brunei Darussalam does not require local laboratory testing. The certificates are valid for five years, which minimizes the manufacturer's effort in maintaining the conformity of his radio product throughout its entire product life cycle in Brunei Darussalam. The certificate can be renewed shortly before the current certificate expires. There are no special requirements for product labeling.
