Type Approval for Haiti

Type approval procedures in Haiti are regulated by the Conseil National des Télécommunications (CONATEL). As proof of conformity, the authority accepts both a TCF (Technical Construction File) in accordance with EU requirements and a TCF in accordance with FCC specifications. We cooperate directly with our contacts at the authority in Port-au-Prince, whereby certificates can be acquired with short processing time. The homologation process in Haiti does not require local laboratory testing or contact with local representatives. However, product samples are requested from the authority for viewing. The certificates have an unlimited validity period and the approved products are not subject to labeling requirements.
