The conformity assessment in the Independent State of Samoa is based
on the American (FCC) and
European (EU) Standards. The
Office of the Regulator (OOTR) situated in Apia is the responsible authority which manages the process of issuance of conformity certificates and examination of product samples which are the two mandatory parts of the local conformity assessment scheme. We apply for homologation certificates directly to the authority which eliminates the necessity for a local representative and drastically reduces the time period needed for Samoa market access. We assist our clients professionally with sample management (selection, preparation and shipping) and collection of documentation which is to undergo conformity assessment procedure. As a result of successful examination of samples and documents, a certificate of conformity will be issued by the responsible authority. Certificates have no expiration date and approved equipment is not subject to labeling.
