Type Approval for Senegal

Type approval procedures in Senegal are regulated by the Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications et des Postes (ARTP). The conformity requirements are basically identical to those of the European Union (Declaration of Conformity according to EU Directive 2014/53/EU). IB-Lenhardt AG receives support from a local partner who works directly with the authority in Dakar. This collaboration allows for a quick acquisition of certificates with minimal delays. In Senegal, the homologation process does not mandate local laboratory testing or communication with local representatives. However, the authority reserves the right to request product samples for inspection. Currently, a laboratory is under construction to facilitate this process.
