China: Notice of Provisions on UWB Equipment

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has notified about provisions on Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Equipment.

MIIT has published the provision “MIIT No [2024] No. 77”,for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Equipment, which is to come into effect, August 1, 2025.

The previous UWB Technology regulation, “MIIT No [2008] No. 354”, will be abolished at that time.

Type Approvals that meet original provisions, before the implementation of “MIIT No [2024] No. 77” on August 1, 2025, will be able to apply for approval or extensions as usual.

After the implementation date, only submissions following the new requirements, will be accepted.

The technical requirements in the new provision refer to radio transmission equipment with a transmission signal bandwidth of (-10dB ) not less than 500 MHz and an operating frequency of 7163-8812 MHz.
