Open Consultation on ANSI C63.2-2023 and ANSI C63.10a-2024

Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has proposed the adoption of two key standards:

• ANSI C63.2-2023, which focuses on electromagnetic interference and field strength measuring instruments in the 9 kHz to 40 GHz range.

  • A six-month transition period is suggested for ANSI C63.2-2023.

• ANSI C63.10a-2024, which updates compliance testing procedures for unlicensed wireless devices.

  • A one-year transition period has been meanwhile suggested for ANSI C63.10a-2024, allowing compliance with either the previous or amended edition.
