ISED published RSS-247 Issue 4
ISED has recently published RSS-247 Issue 4. This standard will become mandatory in January 2026.
On July 24, 2025, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) released RSS-247 Issue 4, replacing previous Issue 3 from August 2023.
The new version sets requirements for "Digital Transmission Systems, Frequency Hopping Systems and Licence-Exempt Local Area Network Devices in 902- 928 MHz, 2400-2483.5 MHz, 5150-5350 MHz, and 5470-5895 MHz bands"
There will be a six-month transition period — until January 24, 2026
