Public Consultation on Type Approval Regulatory Framework 2022

Starting from March 14th, 2022, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commisson (TRC) of the British Virgin Islands has been holding a public consultation (Ref. No. 01/2022) related to Type Approval Regulatory Framework 2022.

There are several regulatory points to discuss, among them: 

• General Aspects;
• Interoperability Standards;
• Combined Equipment;
• Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC);
• Electric and Magnetic Fields (EMF).

In addition to the above mentioned topics, the TRC is confering about importation of equipment, market access, cyber security, fees and responsibilities. In order to get acquainted with the TRC's questions and suggestions, please click here. 

The Commission of the British Virgin Islands invites to comment on the consultation document until April, 11th. Comments could be submitted via e-mail to consultations@trc.vg, using "Type Approval Regulatory Framework" as an e-mail subject.
