QI2: The new standard for wireless charging

The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) announced in January 2023 that it will introduce the new Qi2 standard this year.

Apple's Magsafe technology now also available for Android phones

As a member of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) and developer of MagSafe technology, Apple provides the foundation for the new Qi2 standard and the associated Magnetic Power Profile interface. The new standard promises greater convenience and efficiency for consumers. Higher performance is expected to enable faster wireless charging and universal compatibility of handheld and mobile devices.
