Type approval procedures in Burundi are regulated by the  „Agence de regulation et de controle des telecommuincations", abbreviated with ARCT. The conformity requirements are basically identical to those of the European Union. (Declaration of conformity according to EU directive 2014/53/EU).
We are supported by a local partner, who directly cooperates with the authority in Bujumbura, whereby certificates can be acquired within a short processing time. The homologation process in Burundi does not require local laboratory testing or contact with local representatives. However, a product sample can be requested from the authority for viewing. Certificates have a limited validity period, currently five years and approved products are subject to mandatory labeling.
