Montenegro is an EU candidate country and aligns its technical regulations with European Union directives, particularly for radio and electronic equipment. CE marking is accepted as the main basis for market access. For most CE-marked products—especially under the Radio Equipment and EMC Directives—no separate national approval is required. CE-compliant test reports from recognized labs are accepted as proof of conformity. The responsible authority is the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP). Montenegro does not use a national conformity mark for CE-marked products.
