Type Approval for Zambia

Type approval procedures in Zambia are regulated by the Zambia Informations and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA). The conformity requirements are basically identical to those of the European Union and the Declaration of conformity according to EU directive 2014/53/EU. We work directly with the authority in Lusaka, so certificates can be acquired in a short processing time. The homologation process in Zambia does not require local laboratory testing or contact with local representatives. However, a product sample can be requested from the authority for viewing. Certificates have an unlimited validity period and approved products are subject to mandatory labeling.
