ACMA publishes amendment to Short Range Devices Standard
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) issued on 27 April 2021 the Radiocommunications (Short Range Devices) Amendment Standard 2021 (No. 1) under the Radiocommunications Act 1992.
The updates to the old Radiocommunications (Short Range Devices) Standard 2014 include the following:
The reference to Australian/New Zealand Industry Standard AS/NZS 4268:2012 Radio equipment and systems - Short range devices - Limits and methods of measurement is updated in order to define minimum performance requirements and methods of measurement for short range devices
The reference to international standards in order to provide an alternative to AS/NZS 4268 for testing methods
