DRAFT ISED RSS-247 Issue 3 consultation

The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has recently launched a consultation process on the third issue of the Radio Standards Specification (RSS-247). The consultation is focused on the certification requirements for digital transmission systems (DTSs), frequency hopping systems (FHSs), and licence-exempt local area network (LE-LAN) devices operating in various frequency bands. This consultation presents a great opportunity for industry stakeholders to provide their valuable feedback and suggestions to ISED.
ISED is particularly interested in receiving comments on the requirements for the 5850-5895 MHz band, which is associated with the publication of SMSE 012-22 Decision on the Technical and Policy Framework for Radio Local Area Network Devices in the 5850-5895 MHz Band and for Intelligent Transportation Systems in the 5895-5925 MHz Band. Comments must be submitted by May 3, 2023.
