Type Approval for Republic of the Congo

Type approval procedures in the Republic of the Congo are regulated by the Agence de Régulation des Postes et des Communications Électroniques (ARPCE). The conformity requirements are basically identical to those of the European Union (Declaration of Conformity according to EU Directive 2014/53/EU). We are supported by a local partner who directly cooperates with the authority in Brazzaville, whereby certificates can be acquired within a short processing time. The homologation process does not require local laboratory testing or contact with local representatives. However, product samples are requested for inspection by the authority. Certificates have a limited validity period, currently three years and approved products are not subject to mandatory labeling.
